ABOUT
LESLEY THOMPSON SMITH
Lesley has performed several times on STV and has worked as a session musician performing across Europe in a variety of genres: Folk, Bluegrass, Trad and Gypsy. She also teaches, composes Scottish fiddle tunes, and has competed at the highest level in Scots fiddle, featuring as a Glenfiddich finalist for 3 years 2011-2014 and being invited to championships across Scotland. Lesley plays piano, bagpipes, whistle, mandolin and guitar.
CHRIS SMITH
Chris spent 15 years as a session drummer recording, performing and touring with many artists including: Big Country, Nazareth, Dougie Maclean, Kathy Mattea, The Platters, Maggie Riley and Martin Taylor.
Chris also worked as a composer of neo-classical music and his work has featured on tv channels: Classic FM TV, o Music, C Music, the Performance Channel, Al Jazeera and CNN. Chris collaborated with Emmy Award winning Sex and the City producer Michael King.
DAVY LEES
Davy has extensive experience in the music industry. He hails from the Lanarkshire steel town of Motherwell where, during the late seventies, he was a member of the well respected Auld Howff Band in which he provided vocals, played Guitar and Flute. He has played at Orkney and Shetland Festival, Scotland, Le Triskel Festival in Breste, Roe Valley Festival in Ireland as well as at Ballerup Festival, in Denmark.
Davy is a very accomplished performer and storyteller with a vast repertoire of songs ranging from traditional Scottish, including many Robert Burns compositions to popular contemporary folk standards.
His television appearances include ITV "Secret Scotland" His Radio Broadcasts include Moray Firth Radio "All Scottish", and the hugely popular "Strings and Things" which he presented on Radio Avon FM. His latest radio appearance was on Celtic Music Radio where he started the very successful program "Strings & Things with Davy Lees" with listeners from all over the world and the plan is to present this program for a period of time every year.

We have a team of excellent musicians who regularly augment the band for 4 or 5 piece set ups and deputise for members of the band.
